Since the early 2000’s, singer/songwriter, and Shenandoah, Iowa, native Matt Cox has been writing songs, recording, and performing at venues all across the United States while developing his signature road-worn vocals, and guitar-harmonica style.
With a catalog as vast as the plains that he calls home, Cox blends the best traditions of classic-country, folk, rock, rhythm & blues, both as a solo artist, and with an ever-changing lineup of the areas top talent (a.k.a. The Marauders).
Now, residing in Omaha, Nebraska, Cox is a ten-time Omaha Entertainment and Arts Award winner, and member of the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Since the start of his career, he’s had the pleasure of sharing the stage with dozens of well-known artists including Elizabeth Cook, Jason Boland, Chris Knight, Shovels & Rope, Drive-by Truckers, Son Volt, Peter Case, Micheal Hurley, Greg Brown, Pieta Brown, Charlie Parr, Bill Kirchen, David Alan Coe, and Willie Nelson!
